Belmonte Mezzagno is a medieval village located in the province of Palermo which is famous for its festival.
Belmonte Mezzagno was founded in 1400 by the noble family of Afflitti. This tiny village prospered in 1600 under the Ventimiglia Family government who created the most important buildings of the village, and improved its economy.

The Mother Church of Madre del SS. Crocifisso; the Church of Santa Rosalia; the Stagnone, dedicated to Paolo Borsellino, is a water tank created to overcome the water shortage of the village.
