Casteldaccia

Province of Palermo

Casteldaccia is a lovely ancient village located in the province of Palermo.

Casteldaccia was founded by the marques Vincenzo Ignazio Abbate di Lugarini in 1737 who named the territory “Castellazzo”. Due to the copious production of Celery, the marques changed the name of the village in Casteldaccia (the name “Accia” means Celery in the ancient dialect of the area).
The main cultural attractions of the village are the Duca of Salaparuta Tower and the Mother Church of SS Immacolata.
