Sinagra is a tiny village located in the charming province of Messina.
The village of Sinagra was founded in 1250 by the Bishop of Patti. Federico II d’Aragona offered the feudal town to the powerful aristocratic family Lanza and later in 1364, the old village was acquire by Antonella Ventimiglia. Like most of the nearby towns, Sinagra has been included in the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies until the unification of Italy with Garibaldi and his Mille.
The village has two charming places of worship: the Church of Crucifix and the Mother Church of San Michele Arcangelo, built in the 16th century, includes its original precious furnitures and vestments.
