Torretta is a small village within the province of Palermo. Located at the foot of Mount Canalicchi, this tiny village was founded in 1599 and belonged to many important aristocratic families such as the Grifeo, Traina and Tomasi di Lampedusa. the Church of S. Maria Maggiore; the Santuario of Madonna delle Grazie; the Archaeological area of “Rosa-Columbrina” includes impressive findings dating back to the Greek and Roman periods.
