The farm provides guests the following services:
Luggage room, Bar, Facilities for disabled, Family Rooms, Iron available upon request, Non-smoking rooms, Outdoor swimming pool with sun terrace, service sending mail / parcels, Restaurant, Self Parking, Tourist Office. Le Case del Merlo is open every day.
Breakfast, during the winter, is served in a cosy room of the farmhouse used as a restaurant during the warmer seasons, however, the tables are outside under cover of wooden sheds, so that guests can enjoy the view and feel completely immersed in nature and in the surrounding peace.
Environment protection
The farm owners of “ Le Case del Merlo”, are very careful to protect the environment:
The farm buildings date back to about 150 years ago, and have been restored, no new build. Each building is provided with a well that collects winter rain water, which in summer the water is used to irrigate.
To heat water for showers, we are equipped with two systems of solar panels.
We have designed and, we are going to install the photovoltaic panels, for the production of electrical energy.
The rooms
The rooms are all spacious, panoramic views and private bathroom with: towels, shower, bidet and hairdryer, wardrobe, desk, luggage stand, safe, tv, private terrace, table and chairs, ventilation and heating. They are divided into two antique buildings restructured recently.
HOUSE OF FLOWERS
Casale dei fIori is the oldest structure, it is located in front of the pool, and consists of 8 rooms with panoramic views of the sea or mount Etna. There are twin rooms, double single use, triple, quadruple or quintuple. Multiple rooms are equipped with raised platforms to facilitate the accommodation of families.
BIRD FARMHOUSE
Casale degli uccelli is the most recent, it is surrounded by vineyards and is known for the beautiful landscape of the rooms. It consists of 4 multiple rooms, 3 of which are equipped with a kitchenette. The rooms can, according to needs, become great apartments, great for accommodating the needs of large families or groups of friends.
