Welcome to the Baglio San Vincenzo, where, in the homonymous land north-east of Menfi (AG), runs the S. Vincenzo river. The Baglio (name which indicates the ancient sicilian farms) is surrounded by rolling hills, between the nature reserve of the Belice Valley and the valley of Carboj, from Memphis that slope down to the Sea of Africa. The landscape is marked by the alternation of vineyards, olive groves, citrus orchards, brooms and daisies in bloom, carob trees and prickly pears, the fine variety of Santa Margherita Belice, was imported from America more than five centuries ago. The blue sky and sea on the horizon are the backdrop to a feast of typical Mediterranean colours. On clear days, you can sometimes see the Tunisian coast. The sunsets enjoyed from Baglio are spectacular: during the night the blaze of lights stretching from Castelvetrano to Selinunte, Sciacca e Porto Palo brings out the ‘noise’ of silence. The Baglio is located at the centre of a territory that is named for its archaeological features, monumental, rural and bathing, exceptional even in the Italian context. The more distant destinations are reachable in one hour by car. In 15 minutes you reach the thermal baths of Sciacca, therefore the Baglio is an ideal place even for those who want to get thermal treatments.
The Baglio has twelve guest rooms furnished in the traditional Sicilian style. The suites have a panoramic terrace, the rooms overlook the green Sicilian countryside and duplex overlook the ancient courtyard. The inner courtyard also overlook the dining room, made in the premises of the seventeenth-century wine cellar, where you can still see the millstone once used for the beating and the conference room that can accommodate up to 120 people. In addition, the Baglio has a broadband Internet connection, wi-fi, sauna, tennis court and recreational areas. There are another 10 suites under construction.
