Province of Enna/Aidone

Placed in Aidone’s historical center a few steps from the central square, 20 metres from the post office and close to the archaeological museum, to which Morgantina’s Venus has recently returned, and it is also 2km away from Morgantina’s archaeological zone. Aidone is 840m high and its origins are ancient. Due to it’s geographical location, it is named “The Balcony of Sicily”.

In fact, from its panoramic position, it is possible to admire the Etna, the Nebrodi, the Catania, the Ionic Sea and Syracuse. Aidone is also surrounded by leafy forests of eucalyptus and pine where you can find deer, wild boar, falcons, etc. Let’s not forget the numerous churches, especially one of the greatest examples of the artistic Sicilian panorama: San Domenico’s church.
