Aeolian Islands/Lipari

Villa Meligunis, a well restored historic residence of the eighteenth century, is today a comfortable and prestigious four-star hotel situated in the heart of the historic centre of Lipari.

The Hotel is located in the characteristic fishermen’s quarter overlooking the small port of Marina Corta. It is surrounded by typical houses of the period, small lanes or alleyways and piazzas, and is free from the noise of urban traffic.

Hotel Villa Meligunis is also in a prime position opposite the majestic acropolis, the “Castello”, the ancient civitas dating back to civilizations of six thousand years ago, and all beautifully displayed in the famous Luigi Bernabò Brea Archaeological museum, one of the most important in the Mediterranean area.

The interiors of the Hotel offer a relaxing and welcoming stay in a refined and comfortable ambiance, reflecting the best traditions of Aeolian hospitality. Mixing modern and antique design, the reception rooms house an important exhibition of modern Italian art.

The 43 rooms guarantee a superior level of comfort, typical of high-level boutique hotels, offering in all rooms air conditioning, heating, fridge-bar, TV, telephone, safe, hair-driers and Wi-Fi. Many rooms have terraces, balconies or windows with panoramic views over the sea and “Castello”.

The rooftop terraces are where the restaurant, bar and swimming pool are located. Here, you can enjoy sweeping views of the sea, the fishermen’s quarter and the ancient “Castello”. The restaurant “Le Terrazze” offers a rich menu of local and regional traditional recipes.

The conference room, well equipped with state-of-the-art technology, has a seating capacity of 200.

The Hotel also offers various free services such as transfer from and to the Port and the beach of Canneto, beach/pool towels, and Wi-Fi throughout the Hotel.

We are looking forward to seeing you soon in Lipari; to sample the richness of its sea, colours, scents, flavours and atmosphere; and to take a dip into nature, enclosed in the magnificent setting of centuries of Mediterranean history.
