Turismo rurale Ai Vecchi Crateri ★ ★ ★

Province of Catania/Sant’Alfio

Reception is on the ground floor with stairway access to the bedrooms.  At the back of the property, there is the old “Hazel”, a completely restored lava-stone farmhouse whose larger rooms have been converted and are ideal for families with children, as well as an accessible bedroom with facilities for the disabled.

The rooms are bright and sunny, with wooden-beamed ceilings, Sicilian terracotta floors and large, comfortable beds.  Stylish and tastefully furnished, these have private facilities, mini-bar, colour TV, safe and telephone.  Full air-conditioning is available in some rooms.

The tranquil nature of the area makes this an ideal place for extended stays where relaxation is the aim.

The outdoor area is abundant in nature- from April to October you can admire the rich vegetation, numerous fruit trees with their thick, bright green branches and a great variety of flowers.  In the winter months, however, the bare and snow-covered trees provide a different kind of beauty.  It’s an ideal place for relaxing walks or just a quiet read in the shade of the great chestnut.

There is a large playground in which children can enjoy themselves, while for older guests there is bowling green, a fitness trail and the opportunity for mountain biking, with picturesque routes between lava rocks and protected forests.

The hotel has ample parking, Wi-Fi access and facilities for the disabled.  Small pets are welcome, and credit cards accepted for payment.
