Cala Azzurra is one of the most important attraction of the beautiful island of Favignana.
Cala Azzurra is a popular beach of Favignana which is characterised by crystal clear refreshing waters and a white seabed with red reflections. Thanks to its beach and shallow sea, Cala Azzurra is suitable for everyone, including families. It is very easy to reach this beautiful beach from the main town by bike or on foot, but it is also recommended to get there by boat. Thanks to the presence of the Giardini Ipogei, Cala Azzurra is among the most interesting parts of Favignana, displaying its incredible history and amazing natural landscapes. In this magical area visitors can enjoy a relaxed and quiet atmosphere with its typical tiny restaurants, bars and shops where you can try and buy the famous red tuna which is sold in vintage boxes with a serial number. This beautiful beach is close to the other most important bays on the Island such as Bue Marino, Punta Fanfalo, Grotta Perciata and Lido Burrone.
How to get there:
Trapani Birgi or Palermo Falcone-Borsellino are the nearest airports. Once you arrive at the airport, you can easily reach the port of Trapani by bus, taxi or private buses.
By Car :
Get on A29 from Palermo to Trapani and follow it to the exit (A29-dir). Once in Trapani, follow the signs to the port.
From Trapani Railway Central Station you can reach the port by taxi or on foot
By Ferry boat:
It is possible to reach Favignana from Genoa, Naples and Trapani with Tirrenia, Grandi Navi Veloci and SNAV Companies.
