San Francesco d’Assisi Church includes impressive works of art made in the sixteenth century.

San Francesco d’Assisi Church, renovated in the 18th century by the architect Giovanni Biagio Amico, holds an extraordinary Madonna di Loreto (1491-92), one of the best works of the sculptor Domenico Gagini.
Domenico Gagini (1420–1492) was a Swiss-Italian sculptor who created incredible masterpieces working during the 15th century. One of his notable works is the decoration of the choir in Palermo Cathedral.
Inside the church you’ll find three expressive figures of Maria, Giovanni and Maria Maddalena, create by the famous Gabriele Messina, located near the sixteenth century wooden Crucifix.
