Soprano Lake Nature Reserve

The Soprano Lake has an elliptic basin of karst origin with an extension of 15 hectares. 

The Soprano Lake, located near the municipality of Serradifalco, in the province of Caltanissetta,  is a charming nature reserve established in 2000, characterised by an elliptic basin of karst origin with an extension of 15 hectares. Also known as Cuba lake because its landscape resembles caribbean atmospheres, it preserves the rich birdlife including the Reed Warbler, the coot Pochard, the Water Rail, Little Bittern and Cetti’s Warbler. Prominent wildlife here includes foxes, weasels and the European pond turtle.

By Car:
From Caltanissetta
Get on Strada Provinciale 1/SP1. Take Strada Provinciale 5/SP5Strada Provinciale 40/SP40SS122 and Strada Provinciale 154 to Piazza Umberto I in Serradifalco. 

From Palermo
Get on E90. Follow E90A19 and E932 to Strada Statale 640 in Villarosa. Take exit Caltanissetta from A19/E932. Take SS626Strada Statale dir Raccordo di Pietraperzia/SS640dirStrada Statale 640Strada Provinciale 40/SP40 and Strada Provinciale 154to your destination in Serradifalco.
