The Teatro Massimo is the biggest opera house in Italy and the third largest in Europe.

The Teatro Massimo (Massimo Vittorio Emanuele Theatre) is a neoclassical opera house built between 1875 and 1897 in Piazza Verdi. Elegant and rigorous with its imposing facade, Teatro Massimo has become a distinctive Landmark in Palermo. The area around Teatro Massimo is now a popular place to hang out for its busy cafes and non-stop social spots.

  • My wife and I are visiting Sicily next June-2017. We are staying at the Marina d’Aspra and would like to schedule a tour of the Teatro Massimo for the two of us. Also, I do not see any opera’s, concerts or other events scheduled for June 2017. Can you let me know when that schedule will be ready? Thank you so much.

    • Hello David,

the 2017 events run by the Teatro Massimo will be updated on the theatre’s website in a couple of months.
If you need more specific information you can drop a line to the theatre’s press office which can give you more information about their plans for the next season.
Thank you very much for contacting us.
