Campobello di Licata is a tiny village located in the province of Agrigento which is well known for its summer food festivals.
The village of Campobello di Licata was founded in 1681 by Raimondo Raimondetta, Baron of Campobello. Later the village was inhabited by Albanian and it prospered when people started moving from the coastline to the centre of the island to find refuge by the violent pirates invasions. The most important monuments of the village are the Duca Palace, the Lomia Palace, the Church of Addolorata and the Mother Church of San Giovanni Battista, built in 1798.
