Cattolica Eraclea was founded in 1612 by Blasco Isfar et Corillas who named the town Cattolica to honour the His Majesty King Filippo II. The village includes some beautiful monuments such as the Mother Church of Santo Spirito, erected in 1745, has a beautiful facade with a Baroque style; the Church of San Calogero, built in 1600; the Villa Paradiso is a charming holy places, where visitors and faithfuls can enjoy a breathtaking view of the island.
