Linguaglossa is a tiny village framed by a wonderful natural environment characterized by the typical Mediterranean vegetation.
Linguaglossa was founded in 1100 by a group of craftsmen coming from Genoa and Lombardy who moved to extract the resin from the trunks of pine trees. The village of Linguaglossa has a wonderful and impressive natural environment characterized by an extended green forest. The two most important monuments of the village are the the Church of Cappuccini which displays majestic statues and paintings dating back to the 18th century, and the Mother Church, made with local limestone and includes impressive works of art created by Leonardo Grasso in the 19th century.
