Serradifalco is a little village located in the province of Caltanissetta which provides many interesting festival in summer.
The name of the village Serradifalco derives from Mount Serra del Falcone which according to legend had a forest characterised by the presence of many hawks. The most important monuments of the village are the Church of San Francesco, built in 1653 by Donna Maria Ventimiglia with incredible Baroque decorations; the Mother Church, built in 1740 and includes impressive sculptures and paintings from the 17th century; The Soprano Lake; and the Contrada Grottadacqua, a green area where a fascinating archaeological site dating back to the Neolithic and Bronze ages is located.
