Tremestieri Etneo is a tiny village included in the charming province of Catania which is rich in beautiful natural environment and cultural attractions.
The ancient village of Tremestrieri was included in the city of Catania until 1641, when the merchant Giovanni Andrea Massa acquired the little town, to which it belonged since the Aragonese domination. The name Tremestieri derives from a Latin word “Tria Monasteria” which means “three monasteries”. The main cultural attractions of the village are the Mother Church; the Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie, the Church of Immacolata.
