Roccamena is well known for its Archaeological Museum which includes some of the most important findings of the area dating back to the Roman, Arab and Greek periods.
Roccamena is an amazing village located on the top of Mount Marafusa, close to the Belice river where visitors can discover the stunning sulphur spring waters of San Lorenzo. The recent archaeological digs have uncovered a well preserved settlement dating back to the 6th century BC which is considered the first inhabited village of Roccamena. If you want to discover more about the history of this charming village you can visit the Antiquarium, the Archaeological Museum of Roccamena which includes some of the most important findings of the area dating back to the Roman, Arab and Greek periods.
