Fondachello, was an important place of transit for wanderers and a crucial point of businesses, thanks for this asset its name origins from the Fondaco, a special building common in the seaside towns used as a storage or as accommodation for foreign merchants. Built in the Middle Ages, it was used as a typical trait to denote all the seaside cities as well as the Maritime Republics.
