Camporeale is a medieval village which has a wonderful old town centre.
Camporeale was founded by Giacomo De Playa in 1452. Later in 1768, Stefano Reggio extended the village including the feudal towns of Batticani and Scorciavacche. This tiny village has some interesting cultural attractions such as: the Church of S.Antonio built in 1862 with a Neoclassical style; the Museum of Camporeale which includes an art gallery dedicated to the Sicilian painter Antonio Anselmo; The Church of Madonna dei Peccatori.
