Corleone is framed by a stunning natural environment from which it is possible to discover a waterfall called Cascata delle due Rocce.
Corleone has ancient origins dating back to the first phase of the Neolithic in the sixth millennium BC. It is located in a valley protected by limestone cliffs, here the environment creates a wonderful scenery with the Castello Soprano and the remains of an ancient Saracen watchtower. From this point it is possible to admire a waterfall called Cascata delle due Rocce that creates a lake surrounded by the ruins of an Arab aqueduct. The Gole del Drago is a very fascinating location, where the limestone rocks create suggestive and sinuous shapes and the water flows into small waterfalls. Moreover, Corelone has many beautiful churches to visit like Chiesa Madre which shows many important masterpieces created by Sicilian artists. Near the village it also is possible to arrange lots of natural excursions to discover the forest of Ficuzza, Rocca Busambra and the Gole del Drago.
