Militello Rosmarino is a medieval village rich in beautiful ancient churches framed by a stunning natural environment.
The first settlement of Militello Rosmarino is dating back to the Iron Age and the current urban centre was founded in 1081 by Count Roger.
After the Norman domination, the village was conquered by Swabians and later by Aragonese. The village was ruled by the noble family Gallego from 1573 to 1821. The most important monuments of the village are the Church of San Domenico, the Church of San Sebastiano; the Mother Church, dedicated to San Biagio; the Church of Annunziata, erected in the 16th century; the Mother Church is a medieval building which includes a precious crucifix made by Frà Umile da Petralia.
