San Nicola l’Arena is a village well known for its Sagra del Pesce which is a traditional food festival. 

San Nicola l’Arena is part of Trabia village, located in the province of Palermo. The most important activities of the village are connected to the tourism and agriculture. The most important attractions of the village are:
The Monastery of San Nicolò l’Arena, built in the 17th century; The Castle which is a well preserved example of Medieval castles with three watchtowers, it was built to protect the village from the Turkish invasions. The Tonnara built in 1367 it is considered the oldest tuna-fishing nets in Sicily.

Close to the village it is possible to visit the Nature Reseve of Pizzo Cane, Pizzo Trigna and Grotta Mazzamuto which includes the charming Hermitage of San Felice.

Get on A19 to Provincia di Palermo. Take exit Tremonzelli from A19. Get on A19 in Scillato from SS120 and Strada Provinciale 24/SP24. Follow A19 to Trabia. Take exit Trabia from A19. Follow SS113 to Via di Salvo in San Nicola l’Arena.

From Messina

Get on A20/E90 from Viale Boccetta. Continue on A20/E90 to Trabia. Take exit Trabiafrom A19/E90. Follow SS113 to Via di Salvo in San Nicola l’Arena.
