Country House Coscio

Province of Agrigento/Naro

For over 300 years Coscio has belonged to the family of Counts, Gaetani di Oriseo, who have always administrated the farm, first as a large-landed estate and later as intensive farmland. Today, it is run by the last heir of Gaetani and her husband, who personally manage the estate.  The property measures 74 hectares along the hills of the Municipality of Naro, a city rich in history and art.  Among the rolling hills you’ll find vineyards, olive groves, fruit orchards and spacious farmland surrounding a lake, the centre of the estate.  The country homes scattered across the estate have been transformed into independent apartments, with all modern-day comforts, though maintaining their ancient style and timeless charm.  They all possess a wonderful view, spanning from Etna to the Nebrodi and the Madonie.  Currently, the estate can host up to 20 guests. The ancient nunnery, with its courtyard, which lends its name to the estate, has been transformed into a restaurant for guests.  Over the years it has changed, profoundly altering its original appearance; restoration work has attempted to maintain the original structure.  Here you may enjoy peasant specialties made with freshly picked ingredients.  Guests may also savour wines, olive oil, and other products made onsite.  Dishes also for coeliacs and those following a diet.  The restaurant is also open to guests who are not staying on the estate, though reservations to dine here are required.

According to our philosophy of environmental sustainability and enhancement of the human component, we offer simple but careful services, aiming at psychological well being and empathy between us and our guests, with whom we share the most important moments of our day.
